Collective worm composting
Beauvais-Diffusion (a Plastic Omnium subsidiary) manufactures and distributes collective vermicomposters: the Lombri'Coll 400 and 660 L. A new solution to the practice of composting at the foot of a building, collective vermicomposting is aimed at homes of 5 to 15 households. Worm composters from Plastic Omnium's range of wheeled bins have been adapted for this specific use, in partnership with Sigmatech, Plastic Omnium Environment's Research and Development Centre, and Vers La Terre. Collective vermicomposting is not only an ecological gesture that fosters a relationship with living organisms and makes it more direct, but also a unifying practice that generates social ties and a reflection on our consumption patterns. Training solutions are developed by Thierry Sin, our local authority manager. The City of Paris offers Lombri'Coll at the foot of buildings and in schools.
