Teacher's kit

What is a vermicomposter?

The vermicomposter is a tool for developing an ecosystem for processing your organic waste. It's a simple way to reduce and recycle kitchen waste: vegetables, crushed eggshells, tea bags, etc.

Educational vermicomposting!

Need tools to raise awareness of vermicomposting? Discover our educational kit, specially developed for teachers! With or without a vermicomposter, you'll be able to teach youngsters about the importance of managing biowaste. Depending on the kit you choose, you'll also have compost worms to start vermicomposting with your pupils. The kit also includes a worm scratching post, a vermicomposting bottle and a wetting mat, so make the most of it!

Where to place your vermicomposter?

The location of the vermicomposter is an important factor not to be overlooked. In terms of temperature, we recommend between 15 and 25°C, bearing in mind that you shouldn't go below 0°C or above 35°C. Teachers usually opt to install the vermicomposter in a small corner of the classroom. This allows children to observe the worms composting. However, avoid placing them close to a playroom, as worms tend to avoid noise and vibration!
