Using vermicompost in the vegetable garden
In the vegetable garden, vermicompost can be used pure for a variety of purposes
- seedlings
- surface amendment
- vegetable transplanting, by putting a large handful in the hole before putting in your vegetable
- demanding plantings such as strawberry or tomato plants
Using your vermicompost in the garden
Depending on the case, it can be used pure or mixed with soil:
- pure: for soil improvers
- mixed: for planting trees or flowers, and for lawn seedlings
And if you don't have a garden or plants at home, you're sure to find a friendly neighbor who'll be delighted to have some good compost!
