It was at a friend's house that Véronique heard about vermicomposting for the first time: "Worms in your kitchen, what's the matter with you? When she's about to lift the lid of a strange box, Véronique doesn't know what she's doing.

Unconsciously, she closes her eyes..

Pleasantly surprised, she discerns a scent (it's funny, it reminds me of undergrowth), finally opens her eyes, just long enough to catch a glimpse of disappearing worms (funny, I thought they'd be bigger)

Véronique relaxes, just long enough to hear herself ask "Would you like me to catch one for you? Hold out your hand."....again with a lump in her stomach...., Véronique closes her eyes and feels a soft, cool, moist contact in the palm of her hand...A true sensory experience!

Back at home, Véronique surfs the Internet: she joins a forum, quickly finds out how to make her own vermicomposter, understands the difference between Eisenia worms and earthworms, discovers different manufactured models, learns about their capacities, practicality & reliability, and about recommended gestures.

She ordered a book and expanded her knowledge.

15 days later, her decision was made and the location found: she ordered a vermicomposter online from Vers La Terre!

She soon received a call and "stalled" the reception.

After some thought, she only warned her janitor that the parcel he was to receive the next day contained ...worms.

On the big day, she felt a little "tense" as she made her way to the lodge.

At home, it was with her family (and very quickly!) that the parcel was opened, "and these, Mom, are worms?" (phew, she thought, you can hardly see them, I was afraid they'd be crawling around...).

With the user's guide, assembling the vermicomposter is child's play, and a certain impatience is quickly felt: "Say, Mom, isn't the litter box ready?", "Almost, darling, almost..."..

at 7:42 p.m., the worms are ready to discover their cozy new bed... Véronique leaves it to her son to carefully pour out the bag.

"Can I feed them? "Yes, but not right away, let them acclimatize.

That night, as she drifted off to sleep, Véronique smiled to herself (if anyone had told me...).
